A 3D Printing Bureau Serving the Whole of England

HSK 3D LTD is an FDM 3D printing bureau with its workshop in Wigan, Greater Manchester, taking work from customers right across England. Most jobs never involve a visit at all: a file arrives, a quote goes back, the parts are printed and finished, and a courier brings them to your door — whether that door is in Cornwall, Kent or Cumbria.

What a print bureau actually does

A print bureau is a workshop that prints parts to order from other people’s designs. You keep the design; the bureau supplies the machines, the materials and the experience needed to turn it into a physical object. It means a business can get printed parts without buying printers, learning to run them or keeping a shelf of filament, and it means a one-off job costs a one-off price rather than a capital purchase.

How working with us works

Ordering from a distance works exactly the same as ordering from next door. Five steps, all handled online or by email:

  1. Send your file

Upload an STL, STEP or 3MF file through the quote form, with the quantity, material and colours you want.

  2. Get a quote

We check the design will print well and send a price, including delivery. Nothing is printed until you agree.

  3. We print it

Your parts are printed in FDM in our Wigan workshop, from the files you approved.

  4. Post-processing

Supports are removed and each part is cleaned up and checked before it is packed.

  5. Delivery

Finished parts go out by courier to your address.

Ordering from anywhere in England

Because everything runs through the quote form and email, it makes no practical difference whether you are twenty miles from Wigan or two hundred and fifty. Upload your file, tell us the material, colour and quantity you have in mind, and you get a price before anything is printed. If something in the design looks likely to cause trouble — a wall that is too thin, an overhang that will need heavy support — we raise it at quote stage rather than after the event.

Finished parts are packed for the journey and sent by courier. The delivery cost is part of your quote, so the figure you agree to is the figure you pay; it depends on the size and weight of the parcel rather than a flat table.

Capabilities at a glance

The same specification applies wherever in England your parts are going. Here it is in one place:

Process
FDM (fused deposition modelling)
Materials
  • PLA — Display pieces, models and indoor parts where crisp detail and colour matter more than heat resistance.
  • PETG — The general-purpose workhorse — tougher than PLA, handles moisture and moderate heat, good for functional parts.
  • ASA — Outdoor and vehicle parts. UV-stable and weather-resistant, so it will not go brittle or fade in sunlight.
  • TPU — Flexible parts — gaskets, bumpers, grips, protective sleeves and anything that needs to bend or absorb impact.
Max build size
420 × 420 × 500 mm — large parts in a single piece
Colours
Up to 8 colours in a single part
File formats
STL, STEP and 3MF
Job types
One-off prototypes and repeat production runs
Turnaround
3–5 working days for standard jobs. Lead times for bulk jobs are quoted on request.

From one prototype to a production run

Plenty of customers start with a single part to check fit and function, then come back for fifty or five hundred once the design is settled. Because the batch is printed from the files you approved, the parts that arrive match the prototype you signed off. Bulk runs are planned around part size and print time, which is why their lead times are quoted on request rather than taken from the standard turnaround.

England print bureau FAQs

Do you deliver everywhere in England?

Yes. We print in Wigan and send finished parts by courier to addresses anywhere in England, as well as the rest of the UK. Shipping is priced into your quote, so you see the delivered cost before you commit.

Which file format is best to send?

STL, STEP or 3MF. STEP is the most useful if the design may need adjusting, because it keeps the true geometry; STL and 3MF are fine for a design that is ready to print. 3MF can also carry colour information, which helps with multi-colour parts.

What is the largest part you can print in one piece?

A single piece can be up to 420 × 420 × 500 mm. That covers many enclosures, housings, fixtures and display pieces that would otherwise have to be printed in sections and joined.

Is there a minimum order?

No. A single prototype is a normal job for us. If the part works and you later need a batch, the same files are used for the repeat run.
